Beginner-friendly camping trips designed to help you build outdoor skills by doing. Join us for weekends of campfires, practical learning, good company, and some of the best scenery the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

Sequoia Social Club also offers free and group-based ways to get more comfortable outdoors and learn alongside other beginners. Join our free monthly PNW Outdoor 101 class for practical outdoor tips, beginner questions, and open discussion, or come to our Third Sunday Discovery Park walks for a low-pressure way to get outside with other nature enthusiasts.

PNW Outdoor 101 Camp Prep Class

Free monthly class at Gearhouse Coffee. First Monday of every month, 6:30pm. Bring your questions about gear, planning, and getting outside. No experience required.

Sunday Stroll

A relaxed monthly walk to meet other SSC folks outside the classroom. Discovery Park on the third Sunday of every month, 10am-12pm. All paces and experience levels welcome.

Some things are easier to learn before you're miles from home. That’s we are turning Woodland Park into a practice campsite where you can set up your gear, cook breakfast, ask questions, and make mistakes.
