Sequoia Social Club organizes casual, educational gatherings for adults who want to enjoy the outdoors, but don’t know where to start. Like Girl Scouts, but for grown-ups.
Through beginner-friendly hikes, camping trips, and in-city classes, we teach practical outdoor skills in a low-pressure, supportive environment. You’ll learn how to plan trips, use gear, stay safe, and build outdoor confidence through real experience.
Hiking and camping isn’t just for the outdoor extremists. We’re here to help you find a version of the outdoors that fits you.
We go outside. Not to prove anything to the world, but for ourselves. To move, to breathe, and to feel alive.
To get outside safely, we learn. From those who’ve done it, from each other, from trial and error, and from nature herself.
As we learn, we grow. We build awareness and skills that we carry beyond the trail.
As we grow, we leave it better than we found it. The wilderness, each other, and ourselves.Â
Come as you are, and discover that the outdoors isn’t just something you can do, it’s somewhere you belong.
